Kristen Duffey-Steward Obituary, BETHEL TOWNSHIP, OHIO — Kristen Duffey-Steward, a 48-year-old woman from Xenia, Ohio, has died following a motorcycle crash that occurred in Miami County earlier this month. Authorities confirmed that she sustained critical injuries in the incident and later passed away at the hospital.
The crash occurred on June 13 in the 7000 block of Scarff Road in Bethel Township at approximately 6:20 p.m., according to preliminary reports from Miami County officials.
Investigators say Duffey-Steward was traveling northbound on Scarff Road when she reportedly lost control of the motorcycle. Witnesses at the scene told deputies they observed the motorcycle leave the roadway, re-enter it, and then leave the roadway again before the crash occurred.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after the incident and found Duffey-Steward with severe, life-threatening injuries. She was immediately transported by air to Miami Valley Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries on June 14. Officials have not released additional details regarding what may have caused the loss of control, and the crash remains under preliminary investigation.
